Women United Art Prize 2024

I am delighted to announce that I have been Longlisted for the Women United in Art Prize 2024, in the Painting & Drawing Category!

This prestigious contemporary art prize is dedicated to celebrating female visual artists from around the world. Organised by the Women United Art Movement, with a mission to elevate and highlight women artists and their contributions to the global art scene.

The picture collage above shows the 5 pieces that I entered into the competition. I'm not sure which one(s) caught the eye of the esteemed judging panel, but I am delighted to have reached the Longlist stage of this high profile, global competition, and have everything crossed for the next rounds of judging.

About Women United Art Movement

The Women United ART MOVEMENT was born out of the need to support and unite women artists globally. Started in 2020 amid the world pandemic by Mona Lerch, who dreamed of finding a like-minded community of women artists who were also mothers or caregivers.

With the help of her coach, Ekaterina Popova (founder of Create! Magazine), Mona launched her first global platform, Art Mums United, dedicated to elevating the voices of artist mothers through an artist directory and online exhibits.

The Women United ART PRIZE was launched in 2021 to champion women in the arts and Art Mums United was joined by more inclusive sister platform - Women United ART MOVEMENT - that could provide opportunities to all women-identifying artists around the world.

Women United ART MOVEMENT quickly became a go-to network providing women artists with a variety of opportunities, including solo and group online exhibits and a podcast, inviting inspiring artists and industry professionals to share their stories and empower others through raw conversations about their wins, challenges and experiences in the art world.

2022 saw the launch of the digital and print publication Women United ART MAGAZINE, with the aim to highlight extraordinary women creatives, inspiring industry leaders and remarkable art organisations.

In 2023 Art Mums United and Women United ART MOVEMENT were brought together, creating an even more powerful space, unified in its mission and opportunities.
