Whsipering with the Waves II
 
Whispering with the Waves II by Louise Brook (2024) is part of a trio of works inspired by the intrinsic pull of the ocean. One of the artist’s early pet portraits depicting a golden retriever staring out to sea elicited the question from a good friend “I wonder how many secrets have been shared with the sea?” From this observation this mini mixed media collection was born. 
 
With colours and patterns that evoke coastal waters and waves crashing on the shore, these works are full of exciting nuances, rich textures and layer s of collage. The more you look the more you will see with these works, which are small but mighty in their delivery of visual surprises and glimpses into the creative journey. 
 
Beautifully finished on a 8" square box canvas, the design continues around the edges of the piece. This piece is presented unframed in order that the whole design can be enjoyed, however framing is an option that can be discussed, if so wished.
